Crafty Secrets December Linky Party and DT Challenge

Welcome to the December Crafty Secrets Linky Challenge and Blog Hop. Our theme this month is Any Thing Goes.  We hope you will join us for the hop, and then visit the Crafty Secrets BLOG where you can play along with the challenge yourself.
Today, I will be sharing a fun and easy Photoshop tutorial to change the opacity of pattern papers.  Do you ever have a digital pattern paper that just isn't the right color?  Well, that is the great thing about designing digitally you can change the opacity to create a new paper perfect to use with softer colors.

I loved the beautiful texture of green paper but wanted a softer look to go with the photos that I was scrapbooking.

Open a new file and create your artwork with a white background, instead of transparent.  This allows you to better see what it will look like as you lower the opacity.

Next using the Move Tool, drag and drop the pattern paper on the new artwork file.

Select the Opacity drop down and use the slider to achieve the desired look.

Continue adding papers, embellishments, photos and journaling.  Save your file and print.

Wow, Sheila...I love the way you totally changed the look of this green canvas paper! It's so soft and shabby now! The white frame and lettering look great with it. Such a gorgeous layout! Thanks for another great Linky Challenge project!
