Mom's Sewing Room

This sweet images reminds me of my childhood as us girls would stand waiting patiently (or not so patiently) waiting on my mom to get the hem just right.
Growing up my mom was always sewing us clothes, from our baton customs to Easter dresses.  Many times all of us girls would have matching outfits.

I remember coming home and hearing the hum of the sewing machine.   Little did I appreciate and realize then as a child how many hours of love that she poured into our outfits.
Now a days, the hum of the sewing machine can still be heard coming from Mom's sewing room.  She continues to make sewing projects for her family, from hemming a few pants, to making Christmas ornaments to making gorgeous quilts for her family.  Thank you Mom for all the love and support you have showered us with through the years.  We are so blessed to call you Mom and Grammy!  Love you!

Wishing you a wonderful day, dear friends.

Awww what a lovely post. I got the chillies while reading. Both my mom and grandmother sewed and I've been sewing a lot lately! Simple is what works best for me but I sure enjoy it. As a matter of fact I'm going to start a little doggie dress for my four-legged in just a bit. Have a wonderful day.

This is beautiful, Sheila. I have the same memories of waiting patiently for a hem or fitting. My mom sewed all of my clothes including my wedding dress. Fabulous memories!
