Crafty Secrets DT Challenge, Tutorial and Linky Party

Welcome to the Crafty Secrets August Linky Party.  This month, we are celebrating back to school and fall inspired projects.  Each design team member has prepare a tutorial to inspire you.  Today, I am sharing how to make coordinating digital cardstock papers by matching colors of digital pattern papers.
To start, create a new file and open the digital files to be used.  Next add a new layer.
Then open the digital paper file and select the color to be matched by using the Color Picker Tool and hovering over the color to be selected.  By doing this it will change the color below.
Making sure that the 2nd layer is chosen, click on the Paint Bucket Tool and then hover over the artwork and click to fill the layer.
To add texture to the color select the Filter>Texture>Texturizer.
Next select the texture to be applied.  Then click Ok.
Adding texture adds visual interest to your digital artwork.
Continue creating your artwork by adding digital papers, elements, photos and journaling.
Now it’s your turn!  Visit each of the design team blogs listed below.  Then create a NEW project of your choice featuring Crafty Secrets product and link it up to the blog no later than 11:59PT, Sunday, August 17thth. You do not need to follow this month’s theme to play along.  If you do not have any Crafty Secrets goodies, check the FREE DOWNLOADS located in the sidebar of the Crafty Secrets blog.  Be sure to link to the Crafty Secrets Blog in your post, and let us know what Crafty Secrets product you are using in your project. This is such a useful tip, Sheila! I love how simple you make it seem! The layout is the eroded edges and beautiful script you chose.

I love your layout Sheila. I do realize I have to do a better job on my computer skills and have decided next time my son comes to town I have to get this software and start into it. I often feel isolated with a Macbook as so many tutorials I can't take advantage of. You make it look so easy.
