Crafty Secrets DT Challenge, Tutorial and Linky Party

Won't you join me for the Crafty Secrets Design Team Challenge.  Each month we get together to share our artwork and inspiring tutorials.   You can find more information and creative ideas on the Heartwarming Vintage blog.

With Father's Day coming up, I made the quick and easy card using the Crafty Secrets Designing with Vintage Patterns and the Car Classics Digital Art Stamps.

To distress chipboard and give it that old worn feeling, begin by painting it and let it dry.

Once dry, take sand paper and sand away at the edges.

You can also go around it with a brown ink to give it more depth if you like.  Once you get the desire look adhere it to your project.

I  hope you enjoyed this fun and easy tutorial.

Head on over to the Crafty Secrets Blog where you can link up and post a project you completed using Crafty Secrets products.

Please visit the other talented designers that will be sharing their projects and tutorials:

Wishing you a creative day, dear friends.

I just love the retro vibe on this fabulous card. That burlap panel adds such a great touch of texture! The tips for distressing cardstock are wonderful, too!

I love how you embellished this masculine card Sheila
It has just the right extras on it to make it interesting without feminizing it...perfect. There is a wonderful retro feeling here with just the perfect faded red and combination of elements.
