Enjoy the Little Things

There are the little things that I want to remember.

The special relationship that Connor had with his grandpa.  When Connor was smaller he trailed after his Grandpa... looking up to him and trying to do everything just like Grandpa.  The special hugs and kisses exchanged.  Coming in the room to see Connor sitting on Grandpa's lap getting a back scratch while watching TV.  Connor never got to big to sit on Grandpa's lap.  Connor's little signal of rubbing his nose to let Grandpa know that he heard his cheers coming from the sidelines.  Grandpa's weekly phone calls just to see how Connor was doing... and always ending the phone conversation with "I love you Moe".  And during the last months when Grandpa was so sick, seeing Grandpa's face light up when Connor walk in the room   And then at the end, seeing Connor carry his Grandpa to his final resting place.

All these little things mean so much... memories to last a lifetime.

Dad, I am so thankful you had such an impact on Connor's and all your children and grandchildren's lives.  I love you and miss you so much.

This post moved me to tears. Such a lovely tribute to a beautiful life. It is wonderful to know that the ripples your father left behind in your son's life will continue to travel outward, touching lives for generations to come. So powerful! Hugs to you, my friend!
