Crafty Secrets DT Challenge, Tutorial and Linky Party

Won't you join me for the Crafty Secrets Design Team Challenge.  Each month we get together to share our artwork and inspiring tutorials.   You can find more information and creative ideas on the Heartwarming Vintage blog.

I love the look of a white border around photos.  It reminds me of the vintage black & white photos.  Today, I am sharing how to add white background borders in your digital artwork.

I am using Photoshop Elements in my tutorial.  Begin by creating a new blank file.

Creating a transparent background helps for you to see the white border easier.

Create a new layer, then click on the create a new fill to choose your color that you desire.

Then use the Move Tool to drag and drop the photo onto the white background.  Re-size your photo to adjust how much of the border that you want seen.

Merge the layers to allow it to move all as one object.

Then click on the Move Tool to drag and drop to your digital artwork.
I  hope you enjoyed this fun and easy tutorial.

Head on over to the Crafty Secrets Blog where you can link up and post a project you completed using Crafty Secrets products.
