Crafty Secrets DT Challenge, Tutorial and Linky Party

Today, I am joining the Crafty Secrets Design Team Challenge.  Each month we join together to share our artwork.  Won't you join in the fun and inspiration?  You can find more information on the Heartwarming Vintage Blog.  This month I will be sharing just how easy it is to make a beautiful Christmas Newsletter  using Photoshop and Crafty Secrets Digital products.

(Christmas Newsletter - Created with Crafty Secrets Creating with Vintage Christmas)

To create your newsletter open a new file adding the dimension and resolution.

Open up the files to be used and use the Move Tool to drag and drop onto new artwork file.

Create another file then right click in the Layers Pallet to duplicate the layer.
I used white for the background but you can use any coordinating color you would like.

By creating another layer, this allows the top layer to be moved to your artwork file.

Once the white background layer is on top of the pattern paper (see Layers Pallet below), click on the Cookie Cutter Tool and select the cutter to be used.

Drag the Cookie Cutter and then click the check mark to apply.

By adjusting the Feathering Slider above in Step 6, this created a soft feather look to the white area.

Then continue adding embellishments to complete.  Once complete use your Text Tool to add your holiday greeting message.

Then save file and print your personalized holiday greeting.

I hope you enjoyed this fun and easy digital tutorial.  Are you enjoying these Photoshop Tutorials?  Come back this Friday for another fun Photoshop Tutorial. Hope to see you here!

Head on over to the Crafty Secrets Blog where you can link up and post a project you completed using Crafty Secrets products.

OH WOW this is awesome and I'll be giving it a try very soon! Thanks for the wonderful step by step instructions since I'm still feeling my way around PSE!
Sorry I'm late commenting, I've been sick in bed with a stomach virus since Saturday but thankfully, I'm on my way back to 'normal' now.
Another wonderful idea ... thanks again!

What I really want for Christmas is your computer savvy! I'm in awe of what you accomplish and here's me still trying to figure out how to share files on Dropbox, LOL. This is beautifully done and thanks for the detailed instructions.
Cheers, Elizabeth
