Today, I joining the Crafty Secrets Design Team Challenge. Each month we join together to share our artwork, won't you join us. You can find the information on the Heartwarming Vintage Blog. This month I will be sharing another digital tutorial for Coloring in Digital Art Stamps.
(Crafty Secrets Double Sided Papers Classic Damask Pink, Garden Style Digital Art Stamps and Creating with Vintage Typography)
Have you ever wanted to color in your line stamps, but didn't have just the right color to complete your project? By coloring the image digitally, you can match the color by using the simple steps below.
I have used Photoshop Elements 11 to create this tutorial.
I used the flower image from a recent photo that I had taken to chose the colors.
Open a new file and the files to be used.
Then click and drag the images to the new file.
Click on the Color Picker and then click on the color that you would like to change it to. I wanted to use the orange in the flower petal.
Once it is chosen the color will change (see above).
Then click on the Paint Bucket Tool and click into line image. You may need to adjust the Tolerance and Opacity to get the color desired. Just remember that you can click Undo to go back.
Continue choosing the next color by repeating above steps.
Once your image is colored, save as a new file. You can either use it in your digital artwork (as the seen above in my digital layout) or print it and use it in a hybrid project.
Head on over to the Crafty Secrets Blog where you can link up and post a project you completed using Crafty Secrets products.

Sheila, this is a gorgeous layout! I am so envious of your estimable computer skills. I'm teaching myself Paintshop pro...and it's slow going...but you give me something to reach for, and that is always a good thing. Love your work!
AWESOME!! What a fabulous project Sheila! I really need to take the time and go one step at a time with you on some of these amazing PSE tutorials you've shared with us. (It's on my ToDo List!)
Thanks for another wonderful project!
HUGS from OHIO!

Super cute layout and what a great photo of you!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with those of us still learning.. it's so helpful!
What a fantastic layout, wish I could do that.
I am so jealous of your computer skills! Just kidding ... jealous might be too strong a word. You make it all look so easy and if you only knew how messed up i would be if I tried. This is a great tutorial and has inspired me to buy some different programs for my computer.
Cheers, Elizabeth
