Loving These Years

Being a mom is one of the biggest blessings that I have received and I thank God each day for them.  I remember loving these precious kiddos the moment we found out I was pregnant. Eagerly waiting for their arrival and being surprised with each one when they were born.

I remember those sleepless nights.  The years with diapers, toys and all the firsts that they would accomplish.  The first tooth, the first smile, the first time they crawled, the first day of school, then came the first time they drove the car... oh so many wonderful years that have just flown by.

Now that they are older, I am so loving these years now.  Seeing the wonderful young people that they are becoming.  Their sense of humor, the compassion they have for others and their beautiful spirits.

Even though these years come with a few bumps in the road, I am loving this time.  Knowing that I only have such a short time left before they both move on to college and the next step in their lives, makes me want to enjoy and savor each moment with them.

Love you Boo and Buddy!

I'm amazed at how fast the time has gone. Yusef is already planning his getaway. He's excited about leaving home, going to college. And there's a tiny part of me that screams, what happened to my little boy????!!! AAAAAhhhhhhh! Are those recent pictures? I can't even imagine it being cold ... we are already running the a/c every day. Hope your week is going well. Best wishes, Tammy

Ahhh Sheila ~ soak it all in, every drop, every moment! It all goes so quickly. I have 2 daughters ~ Hilary 27 & Chelsea 25 {my redhead!}. And I have a granddaughter who will be 6 in April. I have loved every moment just like you. God has Blessed me richly. Both girls married to Godly men and my oldest about 3 miles down the same street I live on, while the youngest {and my granddaughter} live just 2 doors over! Thankfully, life has led them both right back home {or very nearly} :)))
I am always blessed when I visit you here.
Bless You Dear,

P.S. Your children are beautiful and Happy I can see. Love the one with your daughter hugging her Daddy! I have a couple of Daddy's girls here too. So thankful for a Godly husband who always had a soft heart and gentle hand with his daughters!
