Being in the Moment

Being an avid historian and documenter of my life through my photography, scrapbooks and artwork, my mind constantly is working on how to best capture the moment.  Even if my camera is not in my hand, I am still find myself looking at life through the lens.
My sweet, darling husband, sometimes gets so frustrated with me as I try to capture that perfect picture.  The repositioning, moving to capture the best angle and taking the extra time that it takes to capture all of it.  He constantly is telling me put down my camera and just be in the moment.... Live!

Well, I took his advise several weeks ago when Leah and I headed once more to Traci's beautiful cabin oasis.  Oh, yes, I brought my camera because I wanted to capture the beauty once more....
(pictures taken 8/2011)
But, I left it in the camera bag and just enjoyed the friendship of my two dear friends, Leah and Traci.  We talked for hours, created, watched "chick flicks" and cried during them. We enjoyed sitting outside the cabin soaking up the autumn sunshine.

No, I don't have one picture of our trip, but what I do have are precious memories spent with beautiful friends who God has blessed my journey with.  I am so incredibly blessed.  Thank you girls for such a great time!  Love you both!

I can't wait until next week when we will all be together again as we head to Nada Farms and Traci's farm with our older daughters so Traci can take my daughter, Janna's, senior pictures. (No that is not a tear that you see streaming down my face.)

I hope that you enjoy your day, being in the moment.
