Cooking Baking Day

Yesterday, we had our annual cookie baking day at my Mom's.  With soft Christmas music filling the air, we  gathered together  in the kitchen to mix, roll, press, cut and bake.

And of course we had to eat some of our homemade goodies.
Then the kiddo's were off to visit my parent's neighbors with a goodie tray for each.  The delight in seeing the kids working, talking, laughing and just being together warms my heart.
Each of us gets a cookie bag filled with different cookies, party mixes and fudge to take home to give and to eat.  Then of course, there is the extra bag that gets saved for Christmas Eve, when we all gather together again.

Then we headed to our dear friend's house to have a Christmas together.  There was much laughter, talking, eating and playing with Boomer.  Then we were blessed to once again get some homemade pumpkin bread from my dear friend, Leah

The night went all to fast, but now I am enjoying a warm slice of pumpkin bread and remembering a lovely day spent with family and dear friends.

Head on over to The Creative Patch, where Leah shares her recipe.

Have a sweet day, dear friends.

Hi Sheila, I haven't been by in a while. Time sure does get away from me. I've got to make some of those cookies with the kisses. One of my best friends is thinking about hosting a cookie festival again this year. Doesn't look like there will be any chocolate chip cookies though -- the grocery stores have been out of them over a month now. :/ Love your Christmas crafting! I hadn't done any Christmas decorating and the later it gets, the more I think it just doesn't make any sense to do it. Oh well! Happy holidays to you and yours, Tammy
