Halloween Traditions

October 31, 2011

One our favorite Halloween traditions is going to my sisters family Halloween Party.
Everyone gets in the spirit, even Grammy and Grandpa!

Then on Halloween the kiddos go trick or treating with their friends.

And then all the candy is dumped out and the candy swap begins.

Memories that make me smile...
This is the first year my kiddo's informed me that they are too old to trick or treat.  Now, I will have my precious memories of past Halloweens to treasure.

Wishing you all a frightfully fun Halloween.

I'm glad you have the memories. Love your scrapbook. I just had dinner with a good friend who is in her 20's. They now join their parents for a chili dinner, pumpkin carving contest and give out treats. Sounds like a good tradition for older kids.

Yep, mine are getting too old for the usual. Time for a new tradition, I guess:) Have a Happy Halloween! P.S. Cute album...I hardly recognized Grammy & Grandpa!

Sooo much fun Sheila... I remember the Halloween candy "swap" too... my daddy would tell us he had to "check" our candy, then he would take the ones he wanted for himself!... I miss him so... thanks for bringing back some precious memories for me today... wishing you a Happy Halloween... xoxo Julie Marie

Looks like great fun (and a lovely scrapbook of memories). I used to always coordinate Halloween activities with friends when the kids were little. This is the first year they didn't even dress up for school. Looks like their Halloweening days are over too. :/ Wishing you a great week. Tammy
