Memory Garden

When I began gardening a few years ago, I didn’t realize how it would become a place that would bring my family together. I just knew it would be a lot of work, days spent weeding, watering and a lot of manual labor.

Even though my garden is NOT a show piece and there are weeds and grass growing in places it shouldn’t, it is a place that we come together as a family. My heart melts seeing the excitement and wonder in my kiddo’s eyes as they check the garden for the fruits of our labor.

Precious memories of Connor finally tasting a garden grown strawberry and deciding he does indeed like strawberries, to Janna slicing our first tomatoes and realizing just how much better it tastes.

It has also brought my DH together as we work side by side, learning more about gardening and excitedly planning an expansion of our next year’s garden. So not only is it a garden where fruit, veggies and herbs are harvested, but more precious than that it is the time we spend together as a family and the memories made.

Wishing you a beautiful day, dear friends.
