Kids being Kids

This past weekend friends of ours invited Connor's basketball team over for some snow fun, hot cocoa and cookies. I stood there laughing and enjoying each moment, cold and all, as I watched all the kids, no matter what the age, enjoy sledding and snowboarding down the hill. It was truly one of the best days I have had in a long time. For a brief time, I didn't think about the pressures of every day life, what wasn't marked off on my things to do list, that the laundry wasn't done or how incredibly cold it was. All I thought about was enjoying everyone simply living in the moment. Where all you need to have a little fun is some snow, a sled and great friends.
And it doesn't matter how old you are to join in with the kids and have fun. My DH, along with a few other parents, where the biggest kids of them all! Kids being Kids!

shelia, you are only as old as you act!! You are young at heart, and your kids will never forget you joining in with them, how fun!

Looks like a great time! I guess snow can bring out the kid in just about anyone. My kids would enjoy it for a bit. They've seen snow once -- when we went to Lebanon one winter, and let's just say my youngest didn't have a good experience that time. We are all so used to mild temps that I don't think we could handle cold and snow for very long. Stay safe and warm and have a most wonderful day. Blessings, Tammy
