A Day Spent Together

This weekend, my dear friend Leah, and I headed for St Jo to take in the wonderful antique shops there; Rusty Chandelier and St James Antique Mall. If you have never been there, it is well worth the trip. Wonderfully scary and frightening goodness was waiting to be found.

We enjoyed searching for treasures, talking and laughing. It was so good to be able to enjoy ourselves for a hours as we shared our love of antiques and each other.

I did find a few goodies and much to our surprise we found a cute Halloween decoration to add to our tree. Each year, for many years Leah and I had exchanged Halloween ornaments.

It started when we would take our yearly bed and breakfast weekend to celebrate each of our wedding anniversaries, since they fell so close together. Our guys would go golfing and we would go shopping. On the wonderful trips we started our tradition of getting each of us a Halloween ornament each fall. Due to our busy schedules as the kids have gotten older, we haven't taken these trips but we still find some spooky ornaments to exchange.

Leah, thank you dear friend for my Boo ornament and especially for the day spent together. I enjoyed talking, laughing and just being together! Love you!
