Home for the Holidays

November 26, 2008

Recently I created this little home for the holidays house using the Maya Road house. As soon as I got this little house I pictured being able to light it up and have Santa scenes illuminating. It so reminded me of Antioch Center's Small Mall. Where I went as a child and when my children were smaller to pick gifts for our parents. Just looking at this reminds me so much of those happy childhood traditions at Christmas.
I combined vintage sheet music, Daisy D Christmas paper, Snowtex, glitter, German Scrap, that I painted cream, and small Christmas embellishments.
The small album comes with it, so I created a window pane from the front album cover, added a sheet protector to resemble glass and then embellished with more Snowtex and glitter.
I then filled it with scenes from Christmas' past. What a fun little project and it brings back so many happy memories.
