In manual mode, choose a small f-stop number. The aperture is basically the how large the hole is that allows light to come into your camera. When you set your aperture, you are creating how big or small that hole is. This is measured as F-stops, you will see it as F3.2 or F6.
It will depend on your lens on how small and large your f-stop will go. To get a blurry background, you will need to choose the smallest f-stop
So turn down your aperture to lowest f-stop and start practicing.
