Photoshop Friday - Creative Projects

September 12, 2014

Welcome back to another Photoshop Friday Creative Project.  With cooler days upon us, I am in the fall sort of mood.  What better way to spend cool day than to create some fall and Halloween projects?  Today, we are going to use the Shape Tool in Photoshop Elements to create a cute, quick and easy card.
Start by creating your new artwork file.  Then open the files to be used, dragging and dropping the background paper onto the new artwork file.
Open the file that you would like to cut the shape from and select the Shape Tool.
Select the shape from the drop down menu.

Drag your mouse where on the pattern paper you would like it to be cut from. Click the green check mark to select the shape.
Select the Move Tool, then drag and drop to the new artwork file.
Continue to add more shapes, elements and digital sentiments to complete your artwork.  Save and print your artwork.

I then added some tulle, vintage paper, a spooky embellishment and glitter to complete.

I hope you enjoyed another fun and easy Photoshop tutorial.  Join me again next week for some more fun techniques using Photoshop Elements.

Wishing you a wonderful creative weekend.

Sheila, this is just such a great vintage card. I love seeing these step by steps. Even though I don't have Photoshop, seeing the concept carried out helps me translate it to Paintshop Pro. Thanks for taking the time to write such clear tutorials! And, I love the black tulle!!!!
