Seeking Beauty

Sometimes we desperately seek to find the beauty in life.  With social media, we are bomarded by beautiful images... emaculate homes, manicured lawns and youthful, made-up images.  Then I look around my house and notice that it isn't beautifully decorated in the newest fashions and my gardens grow bigger weeds than flowers.  I look in the mirror and see the laugh lines and age wrinkles.

I sometimes try so hard to create beauty....
But even among the tall weeds, crows feet and a lived in house with dated furnitings, I can still find the beauty.

I seriously love this post.
You definitely struck a chord with me, Sheila.
Sometimes it makes me sad that we aren't even comparing ourselves with real people anymore; we're comparing ourselves with images and illusions.
Thanks so much for being real. Real is always better :)
Love!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think it might have been Emerson who said we can travel the whole world, seeking beauty, but if it isn't within us, we won't find it. I love that. You, my friend, have a beautiful soul....therefore, you walk in beauty! xox0
