Welcome back to another Photoshop Friday Creative Projects. This week we are adding highlighting to help with blending. I just love the look of blended papers and photos. But sometimes when using a paper with a definite, strong pattern it makes achieving a blended look difficult. Here's a little secret that will get you blending with ease...
(Layout using Crafty Secrets Garden Papers)
By "toning" down the script around the photo in the beautiful garden paper by Crafty Secrets, it gives a softer more blended look.
Start by opening a new artwork file and dragging and dropping the pattern paper into place.
Create a new layer to added the highlighting. To use a light color in the paper, I clicked on the Color Picker Tool and then hovered over the cream area on the paper. Then selected the color by clicking OK.
Next choose your brush that you would like to use from the drop down Brush Menu. Then change the brush size.
Start brushing the new color on top of the paper. Don't worry, if it is too strong the next step will soften it. Since I was blending a main photo and choose to highlight and brush in the middle.
Making sure the painted layer is chosen, use the Opacity Slider to achieve the look desired.
Next add your photos, papers and journaling to complete your layout project.
I hope you enjoyed another Photoshop Friday - Creative Projects. Join me again next week for another fun and easy tutorial.
Wishing you a creative weekend, sweet friends.
