Photoshop Friday - Using Filters to Change Backgrounds

January 24, 2014

Thank you for joining me in another Photoshop Friday  tutorial - Using filters to change backgrounds.  I must admit that I love papers and before digital papers came along, I bought tons of pattern papers because I didn't want to run out of my favorite ones.  Now with digital you can create many different looks with one digital file just by changing the filters and printing.

(Layout created with Crafty Secrets Vintage Valentines Kit & Be My Valentine Digital Art Stamps)

Create a new file and then drag the pattern paper that you would like to change onto the new file.  Make sure that you select the pattern paper layer.

Then select Filer>Filter Gallery to bring up the preview Filter Gallery Box.

Now is where the fun begins!  Choose your filter styles from the drop down menu.

As you ca see depending on the filter style the pattern paper changes.  You can also play with the sliders for addition changes.

Once you create the desired look click OK and then star creating your artwork.

I hope you enjoyed another fun and easy Photoshop Friday tutorial.  I am also joining Jenn Rizzo's Fabulously Creative Friday.  Won't you join me?

Hope to see you again next week.

Happy creating!
