Welcome to Photoshop Friday... Today we are going to learn how to add more texture and dimension to your backgrounds by using Overlays.
(Layout using Crafty Secrets - Thanksgiving Collection)
Create a new file and open all the files that you want to work with.
Making sure to use your Move Tool to drag your pattern paper to the New File.
Once I positioned the background paper over the New File, I brought down the Opacity. You will want to play with this to get the look that you want.
(Overlay Used - Kim Klassen)
Then click on the Overlay and Move Tool and move the Overlay on top of your artwork (see below in the Layers Pallet).
Then continue to apply different affects from using Pallet Layer Drop Down Menu and the Opacity.
I then continued using other embellishments from the Crafty Secrets - Thanksgiving Collection to complete the layout.
Then I added the photos on top of the Overlay to make them stand out on the page.
I hope you enjoyed another Photoshop Friday. Come back on Monday as I join the Crafty Secrets DT Challenge with another fun and easy Tutorial.
