I have long heard my parents and grandparents say "those were the good ol' days". You know those long ago days, when families sat out on the porch swings, drinking cool lemonade and reminiscing with the neighbors. Times seemed simpler.... less hurried.
This Christmas, I received this beautiful and meaningful sign that my my dear friend, Leah and her hubby, made for us. It really got me to thinking. These are our "Good Old Days"... right here and right now. I have want to enjoy every day that God has given to me.
When I am old and gray, I want to sit back in my rocker, reminiscing with my children and grandchildren and remember these good ol' days that shaped our lives. I want to remember all the basketball games, the choir concerts, gathering fresh veggies from the garden, our family movie nights, antiquing and crafting with my friends and my kiddos... and so many more.
Today, as I look forward to 2013 and all the wonderful possibilities this new year brings, I will be remembering that these truly are the good ol' days and I will be living each of them to the fullest. I have also been working on new tutorials, workshops and a few more projects that I am also anxiously waiting to share with all of you in the coming year!
Wishing you a Happy and Healthy 2013.
See you next year!
