Christmas Card Mini Album

December 26, 2012

Inspired by my sweet friend, Traci Thorson's Christmas Card Mini Album last year, I added my own twist to her inspiration.

I will be creating these each year from cards, letters and photos received.  Then adding small journaling to them to personalize and remember those special people in our lives.

Here is a list of supplies needed to create your very own...

The cover of my album is the Christmas Card that I sent out.  I cut the card at the seam and added some fun Christmas embellishments. Then I glued it together for the cover and first page of my mini album and punched holes to bind.

The fun part is putting in all the of the beautiful Christmas Cards together and creating a book.

How about adding your Christmas Tree tag to remember your trip?

Adhere smaller cards into the inside of larger cards and them embellish the white space with stickers, buttons and embellishments.

Love those family Christmas photographs cards?  I know I do!

Adhere it to the back of a card and add some extra embellishments.

I just love receiving the Christmas letters.  Reading them and getting caught up with family and friends is a real blessing.  I punched holes in a gift bag and added embellishments and stickers.  I then tucked all of those precious letters inside to enjoy for years to come.

If you don't have a card that quite fits - trim it down and cut out the sentiment.  Add some twine and small embellishment.

Adding a small card to a larger card, then embellishing it makes each page a delight to look at.

Open the card and inside is a picture and a precious family letter preserved...

I am enjoying my album.  Rereading, reminiscing and feeling so blessed to have all these special people in our lives.

I hope that these little albums will become a treasure traditions for many years to come.

I would love to see what you create with your Christmas cards...  Won't you share?

Wishing you a creative day, sweet friends.

I love this idea! I never know what to do with all the beautiful Christmas cards and school pictures I get from family and friends. I hate to throw them all in a box so this is the perfect way to creatively to keep them each year. I love your album and will be making one of my own.

I love this idea! I didn't get too many cards this year, but I have a drawer full from past years. Of course my scrap booking is so far behind, I may never catch up.

That is a fantastic idea! I've never seen this before. Putting a picture with each card of the person who gave it would help with remembering who's who down the road. I may have to gather up all the old cards I've got around here and start creating. :) Happy holidays! Tammy

What a great idea. When I think of all the pretty cards I've thrown away because I didn't know what to do with them...this is the perfect project.

Beautiful album! Wonderful idea. I always cut my christmas cards into tags for next year's Christmas presents. Just punch a hole through the corner and tie on with a ribbon! : )

so loving this but I so wish my friends would go back to snail mail! I only received 3 Christmas cards this year...love the Dec daily style and may have to troll back in my bins to maybe create a mini combining all years past. Thanks for inspiring!
