Tree Farm - Here we Come!

November 23, 2012

As you read this post, we are heading to our favorite Christmas Tree Farm to find that perfect tree to grace our home this year.  It started as a family affair, but as the kiddos get older friends seem to want to come too....
The more the merrier!

It is a magical place where the young and young at heart come together to start the Christmas season.  Each year Santa is seen handing out candy canes and talking to the kiddos.
You can find us sipping on hot chocolate, munching on puppy chow and gathering a few holiday decorations to take home.

I am so thankful that we share this special start to the holiday season together as a family.
It is one that we look forward to each and every year.

After loading up our Christmas trees we head over to the nearby Mexican restaurant for lunch.

It wouldn't be complete without a taco or two to refuel us so we can finish decorating our trees when we get home.

This is one of our favorite Christmas traditions that we look forward to each year.

Do you have a favorite tradition?  I would love to know.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, dear friends.

Hi Sheila, what a fun day you have planned... I love your traditions, right down to the tacos!... we have many traditions and I never break a single one of them... the first of many for the Season was turning all of our trees and outside Christmas lights on last night after our Thanksgiving meal... enjoy your day!... xoxo Julie Marie

That's a fun tradition! Cutting down our Christmas tree was a tradition we had while our children were growing up. Now our kids do that with THEIR children!
One tradition we have with all the kids and grandkids is an evening of making decorated sugar cookies with Christmas music playing in the background. We each don aprons ( even the guys ) and set up teams for each task. Lots of fun for three generations! sandy ;)
