The Whatevers.... A Journey in Storytelling

June 27, 2012

I am joining up and playing with the very talented and sweet Vicki Chrisman for The Whatevers....
Each month, Vicki and her team, share a beautiful vintage photo and we are encouraged to write a story about it.   Here is mine....

When Momma was pregnant with Edward, all Ruby wanted was a baby sister. She dreamed of a sister to play with, to tie big bows in her hair and to make cornhusk dolls. What she got was a baby brother. What was she going to do with Edward? He liked yucky toads and scared her with snakes!

As he got older, Edward would help her with chores and stick up for her in school. Edward was there where she needed someone to talk to and came to her rescue when she found the snake in the garden. Through the years, Edward was there for Ruby. He was not only her little brother, he became a friend….

Since I am creating a storytelling book, I had to create a cover for it.

I used a lot of my secret stash that I saved (hoarded) to use for a special project.
I used some of my favorite Crafty Secrets images and stamps, along with vintage papers and finds.

Wishing you a lovely day, sweet friends.
