Using the Good Stuff

February 10, 2012

Are you a hoarder, I mean a collector of all things beautiful?  Do you enjoy surrounding yourself with lovely vintage and vintage inspired treasures but have a hard time using them?  If this describes you, you are not alone because I am one of those kind of people too.
Inspired by my dear friend's little journal, I struck out to complete one of my own.  I dug deep and grab some of the bits of lace, vintage millinery and goodies that I had been hoarding, I mean collecting for years..
Years ago, I had ordered quotes from Rebecca Sower and only had used just a few in other projects for this project I gave myself permission to use them and I am so glad I did!

Each decorative page brings me joy, inspiration and memories.  Memories of antiquing trips with sweet friends, creative adventures and so many more...
I am now working on filling it with my thoughts, prayers and musings...
(I'll be sharing more of this journal in the days to come.)

I am so glad that I pulled out all the best stuff and used it for me...  because I am worth it!!!

AND so are all of you!!!!

My hope is that you will pull out some of your best goodies and create something wonderful for you too!  You are so worth it!!!

Come be inspired at The Creative Patch with Guest Gardener, Jessica, shares a fun stamping tutorial!

Hope to see you there!

I love all the details and juicy vintage bits you've incorporated in your creative journal! It is stunning! Too pretty to use!

I'm planning to make a Jane Austen themed journal soon...and you just pulled me one step closer to that project, thanks!!

Ciao bella.

Ooooooh my, such a gorgeous and elegant journal. It is just my style with all the lovely quotes, wonderful lace and bits of vintage items. I tend to be a "collector" of vintage pieces and I know how hard it is to use them in a project but you are right, you definitely are worth using these lovely items on. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous piece with us!
