Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone

February 18, 2012

and loving it....
Years ago, I gave up on drawing... anything.  With pretty papers, vintage images why o' why would I try to do something on my own?

Then along came Jeanne's Creatively Made eCourse...  Need I say more?  She showed easy techniques to help me break out and experience drawing once more.

I am truly inspired and can't wait to do more...

Pictured above is one of my most cherished pictures of my beloved Grandma and my mom as a baby...

I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to create this treasured piece of artwork.
I can't wait to start another with one of my favorite pictures of my mom to complete my set of drawings.

Have you stepped out of your comfort zone?  And if so what with?  I would love to hear.

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend.

Absolutely wonderful, Sheila! Love what you created--and what perfect inspiration for you...that photo is a treasure!

I really have to step out of my comfort zone more often...so many things I want to try & I'm a bit afraid of...time to get brave, I think!

Thank-you for the beautiful inspiration, dear friend!

Love your canvas art...it's wonderful how well you captured your grandmother's likeness! A beautiful sketch of a beautiful woman. So glad you were encouraged to find your way back to drawing again:)

Good for you Sheila! I do step out of my comfort zone all the time...this month I'm making cards, last month I started scrapbooking from sketches (NEVER thought it would be as fun & challenging & creative as it is). I guess I try to add something new to my repertoire as often as I can, but drawing can be intimidating...perhaps you've inspired me to revisit that...
