I Didn't Think....

August 19, 2011

... I would be sad to see my kiddos start school this year.
Or that I would be emotional as they lined up to get their annual back-to-school photo, knowing all to soon that these days would not last forever.
Or that I would be thinking that we only have two more years with this beautiful young lady at home before she goes off to college and one more year until this handsome young man goes to high school.
And I certainly didn't think that I would be crying as I pulled away from dropping off the kids... one at the middle school and one at the high school.

I had been preparing myself that next year would be emotional for me, since they will be both at the high school, but it came as a complete surprise this year as the tears just flowed...
(thank goodness the kiddos didn't see!)

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, dear friends.

They are growing up soooo fast...just like mine! We need to figure out a way to "slow down" time:) Meanwhile, I guess we just need to keep tissues handy;) Wishing J & C a wonderful school year!!

I always get emotional on the first day of school! This year we sent our first off to college. It was harder than I thought it would be.

Hugs...it is hard to watch them grow up. I've got one finishing her last year of elementary school and one in seventh. I feel like I blinked and they grew up. Stop over for a giveaway that might cheer you up!

My Zack is going into 8th grade and Yusef will be a junior. But since I work at the same school they attend, they are with me all the time. I started this past week but they don't go back until September 5th. Best wishes to you and yours, Tammy

Such good looking kids!! I took first day of school pics of Alex for every year too....it got a little more difficult when he was in his last years of high school but he cooperated and I'm so glad to have those photos. I jokingly told him to take a pic of himself before he heads to his first class this year...yeah, that will happen :)
Here's to a great school year!

Awww, you are just 2 adorable.
I have an 11 yr old and a 15 yr old....and I really notice how time flies...they are really only with us for a small portion of their lives so we should enjoy each day with them!

Beautiful smiles!
Ciao Bella!
