Using the Good Stuff

March 7, 2011

When Karla announced that she was having a link party about using the good stuff I just knew I had to join in the fun. I admit it, I love to collect good stuff with the anticipation of creating a treasured piece of artwork with it. I have a very hard time using it, especially for myself.
Here are just a few goodies that I have collected or been gifted with that I have been hanging on to to use with the perfect piece.
This weekend I sat down to create with this treasures. It was so relaxing, rejuvenating, inspiring and a little intimidating to use them.
This wooden box with handle came to me after my Grandma had passed away. I have been wanting to create a special project from it and finally allowed myself to do that.
Each special item holds a secret treasure, from the Rooster and Hen song page from Wanda (who lovingly saved it for me at Silver Bella!), to the old spoon and box from Grandma Long, spools of thread and tape measure to represent my love of creating that I got from Mom and my Grandma Jones, and then the small flower frog that my dear friend Leah gifted me with and old recipe cards from my blogging friend Alice.
I just loved using my Good Stuff for me! For more Good Stuff being used around blogland, click here.

Hoping everyone takes to time to use their Good Stuff.
