Farm Chick Journal

February 25, 2011

I recently created this Farm Chick Journal for Julie Marie... She too loves chickens and is a country girl at heart. I combined vintage papers, laces, stamped images from Craft Secrets Down on the Farm and Farm Chicks Stamp Sets, burlap and vintage buttons.
There is something so special about creating for someone else. Infusing your own style, but thinking about them each step of the way. I knew she loved gardening so found some old flower ads. This precious girl gathering flowers, which was the back of a playing card, reminded me of Julie Marie and her love of flowers. She of course loves chickens so I had to focus on that.. I just love how this journal turned out. I hope that she is now filling it with some of her wonderful pictures and thoughts.
Wishing you all a wonderful day dear friends.

Dear Sheila~
I clicked over from the link on Julie Marie's blog. LOVE the journal you made for her. It is beautiful. The two posts about your son & daughter were very touching. I always wish our children wouldn't grow up yet seeing the adult emerge has it's own satisfaction. Your blog is delightful. So happy I stopped by this morning. ~ Amy in the COLD Nevada desert
