Courage

January 3, 2011

I have been really thinking about a word for 2011. Courage is the one that keeps coming up time and again…

Courage -

1. the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.

2. Obsolete, the heart as the source of emotion. Courage to step out of my comfort zone, Courage to reach for my dreams, Courage to trust that God will provide, Courage to learn to say “No” so I don't over extend myself, Courage to open up to new possibilities, friendships and opportunities… Courage. I would love to hear your word for the year…

Wishing you a wonderful day, dear friends.

Sheila,
That is a wonderful word. Isn't it amazing how many facets these words have, once you choose them?

My word is "hope"... Hope in God's word, Hope in medical science, even hope that we can have some fun amidst the stress of Jud's illness!

Thank you so much for your lovely and kind post on my blog. It touched me so much. I would love to have a journal from you...and I would love to pay you for it. I was wondering about an ornament journal. Our whole life is on that tree. Our tree is still up, too (I say with some embarrassment!). Too much chaos to think of taking it down yet. I am just grateful we broke down and got an artificial tree a few years ago!!!

I'll be in touch!

Big hugs,
Suz

I love your word "courage" for your journey through this year. I selected my word "now" as I tend to put things off and not accomplish all that I know I can. May you have a courageous year!

What a perfect word for the year, Sheila...sounds like a good one for me to adopt, as well. I've been thinking of faith as my word to focus on this year--I think they definitely go hand-in-hand!

What a beautiful project you've made today! I love every little detail...

Wishing you a most wonderful night...

Julie
