Witching Hour

October 11, 2010

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for - from the rich colors used, to the fun and whimsical images. It reminds me of so many wonderful childhood memories. From the popcorn balls our eldery neighbor lady made for all the neighbor kids, to dressing up and going trick or treating with my sisters and Mom, to carving the pumpkin with Dad. Each is a precious memory of my childhood.

We now have Halloween traditions too-from going to the pumpkin patch with our dear friends, to carving pumpkins, to my sister's annual Halloween party, to trick or treating with the kids. I hope that my children will remember fond family memories of Halloween.

Get yourself into a spooky spirit, by creating this Witching Hour banner that I made for The Scrappy Gourmet. A limited number of kits are available, so order yours now.

Hello Sheila... your banner is so bewitching! I love it and I too love Halloween, especially my happy memories from when I was a little girl, and my little sister and I waited all year for it to arrive... thanks for sharing your special memories as you create magical new ones for your family... wishing you a most enchanting day... xoxo Julie Marie

I was just telling my nephew this last weekend about the costumes we used to make and the parades we had at Crestview. Do you remember 6th grade in Mr. Sego's class when we went as a horse (I was the back end if I remember right)? I found the stuffed pillow we made and used as the head at Mom and Dad's. Fun times.
