Missing You

October 14, 2010

These past several weeks, the passing of my “other” mom has weighed heavy on my heart. I have been missing her, especially as the holidays approach. My “other” mom loved roses and had many rose bushes alongside her house. After she passed away, we planted rose bushes in our front yard in her memory. Sunday, I walked down the stairs from my front deck and noticed this beautiful rose intertwined in the railing. Just a single beautiful rose… tears just trickled down. I think it was God’s way of reminding me that she may not be here physically, but she will forever be in my heart. Love and miss you whole gobbies, Mom!

Hi Sheila... what a beautiful post... and I hope it made you feel better by knowing that is God's way and her way of letting you know she is okay... and always close by in your heart. I too plant special flowers for my loved ones who have passed on... I know that makes them happy... xoxo Julie Marie

Hello friend, your beautiful post really hit home today...been missing my mom, too. It's a heartache that never truly heals; but, that big blooming rose is a lovely reminder that you carry her in your heart. Always. Hugs from me to you:)

Very sorry to hear of your loss. It isn't easy to miss our loved ones however you honored a beautiful memory by planting a rose bush she loved so much. Embrace your tears and stop to enjoy the roses every day.
