They're Off

April 14, 2010

We are so blessed to have our kids growing up together, my sisters and I. Our girls do their thing and the boys are off doing their own thing... always together. This was Easter at my Dad's house where it is OK to have little guys (and girls) racing through my Dad's and MaMa's yards. It brings such joy to my Dad to have his grandchildren surround him, that he has never minded the tracks in the yard. And he has been known from time to time to add a few tracks of his own. Boys, I hope that you always share that special bond between your cousins. It is a special one that can never be replaced.

Sheila, my kids and my sisters kids are the best of friends too. Age never even matters. When my son went through some hard times with his hairloss (he has Alopecia) these were the first friends he turned to because he knew he could count on them unconditionally. It was great as a mom. Sometimes my sister and I feel lazy about spending time together but the kids insist and we are glad they do! How lucky we are to have our lives enriched by family!
