Shadow Box Portrait Die Cut and Giveaway

March 21, 2010

About a month ago Vicki Chrisman gave an opportunity to 10 lucky people to design with the new Shadow Box Portrait Die Cut and I was 1 of the lucky ones! So here are the 2 that I designed, each for Easter...
I used Vintage Pink and Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist to add depth and dimension to the die cut card stock. II added Crafty Secrets images. Aren't the children just precious?? Just look at how the little man just perches on the window ledge...
I then added some vintage lace, buttons and flowers to complete.
The 2nd, that has to be my favorite with the nest, colors and and the beautiful vintage images from Crafty Secrets. I misted Chocolate Covered Cherries and Iridescent Gold on the brown cardstock diecut. It add just the sparkle and shine to the background. I then added extra glitter to each of the images and tucked in a tag with vintage lace and charm.I made a nest from Spanish moss and twigs found in the backyard... Yes I went walking through the snow to get them... I am so ready for spring. What nest would be complete without some precious eggs?
Thank you Vicki for sending these to me to play with! It was a lot of fun! Visit Vicki's blog for more inspiration using these die cuts.
Now for the exciting part... 2 lucky readers that comment on this post about what you enjoy about spring, will have the chance to win 1 of these Shadow Box Portrait Die Cuts. The giveaway will run through Tues, March 23 at 11:00 pm CST. I will be drawing a 2 random winners on Wednesday to send them to.
Good Luck and Happy Spring.

I love both your shadowbox projects! They both scream spring to me and I'm more than ready for it. I love when the birds start chirping and the flowers begin to bloom. Lovely work!

The first one is adorable, the second one just took my breath away - how gorgeous & what talent. I'm playing w/ mixed media but don't know how to achieve that. Thank you for sharing the pictures. (Oh, what I love about spring - the awakening, even my pores feel more alive)

What I most enjoy about spring is hearing the robins for the first time in a long time, the smell of the clean air after a refreshing spring rain, and the bright colors of the spring bulbs peeping their heads above ground to greet us and say "Happy Spring to You!"

Your creations are Wonderful!

Oh my, how beautiful! Just giggling over your walking through the snow to get spanish moss. Teehee ;) Here in Massachusetts we don't have snow on the ground but just wait a minute that could change.

Ooo they are both so lovely!! What a fantastic give-away! In the Spring I look forward to hearring the birds the most because we Canadians seriously go about 9 months out of the year not hearring them!

Happy Spring!
