A little Rebecca

November 25, 2009

For around 10 years I have followed this incredibly talented, faith-based woman.... When Rebecca Sower writes or talks, I am so amazed at her words that evokes such feeling and thought. She speaks to my heart, each and every time. (I encourage you if you have never seen her work or heard her speak from the heart - click on her name to visit her blog... you won't regret it.) One of my life-long dreams was to meet this lovely lady that has so impacted my life with her artwork and words. Last year at Silver Bella, I was able to take one of her classes and enjoyed every minute of it. Her quiet demeanor and gentle, humble heart speak volumes. This year, I took another of her classes and enjoyed every creative moment putting together this beautiful piece of artwork.
Another dream of mine was fulfilled this year at Silver Bella and that was to own a little piece of artwork created by Rebecca. Her vendor table was the first one that I went to.... with great speed! Just look at what I gifted myself with...
As soon as I saw this... it talked to my heart. The little nest, the little birds and word. It reminds me of my nest, my home, my sanctuary.
This has now become one of my most treasured pieces that hangs in my bedroom... a little piece of Rebecca.
Dreams do come true...

So happy for you that this dream came true...and now you have a picture to prove it! Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to meet Ms. Rebecca; in the meantime, I'll just continue to be moved & inspired by her words, her art, and her talent:) Love those creations from SB...yours & hers!
