A Softer Side

August 13, 2009

Most of my house is filled with primitive/distressed mustard yellows, barn reds and solder blues, but there is one room that brings out the softer feminine side of me... our bedroom (Please don't tell my DH, as he doesn't think it is that girly girl... yet!) I challenged myself to put a spin on printed images on muslin. This time, I played and added Glimmer Mist to the vintage journaling to give it a feminine pink hue to it. Then I brushed beeswax on the journaling and the vintage rose image. I added silver glass glitter to the journaling image.
And then I add fine pink glitter to the roses. I completed it with vintage buttons, millinery and lace.
So even tho I am a primitive and distressed lover, I still can show my softer side...

Very pretty. Two sides to you. Both sides are charming, I think. :)
