Home Sweet Home

August 27, 2009

My home is not only my protection and solace, but a place to be with the ones I love the most. It is a place that let's me be me... the good and the not so good. It is a place to rejuvenate and nurture... It is the place where I long to be the most. Last night I started playing with some new techniques using Tattered Angels Glitter Mist, Tim Holtz Distress Paint and Masks. I use a old leather book cover as my base. I just love the aged worn look of it...

The sunflower stem is from Prima Flowers. I added vintage lace, old sheet music, a vintage photo that I fell in love with, a film strip and beautiful cream buttons to complete. Now the hard thing to do is to figure out where I am going to hang this... I have two spots that it would look just great in, one where I would see it all the time and the other I won't. Decisions.... decisions!

Do hang it where you can see it all the time, then move it to the other place as you hang a new beautiful little creation of your making.

I just love it! I may have to "borrow" this idea and create one of my own:) Pick a spot where everyone can see & enjoy your work of art! xo

Maybe where you can see it until you are tired of it, and then move it when it is no longer so fresh in your mind?
