Stitching

July 30, 2009

I haven't had much time in my studio this week as the kid's sports activities have started back up and in full swing. But I have had a few stolen moments where I have been able do some stitching on my next Silver Bella Swap. Inspired by Rebecca Sower and Pam Garrison's beautiful stitchery samplers, and the help of this book...

I am again pulling needle through fabric and enjoying the process of creating without a pattern. It is so inspiring not to have to follow a pattern, but to follow your heart and creative inspiration. It is so very liberating.

Here is just a peak at my creation in progress...

Not only stitches but lovely embellishments, lace and ribbon will be used to complete this sampler. As my stitchery sampler is starting to take shape with each piece and stitch added, I am reminded of the lovely Bella Babe that I will be giving this to and hoping that she will love it as much as I do.
