Enjoying the Moments

April 17, 2009

There a moments when I capture my family on film, that I realize that they are growing up way too fast. As I sat this morning editing pictures from Easter, I came across this one...

My niece and my daughter, together. Born 18 months apart. They have grown into such beautiful young ladies so full of potential. Each of them the first born, each having their own ideas, sometimes the best of friends other times... well oil and water.

Sitting here and realizing that in a few short years these young ladies will be off to college and out of our nests makes me want to hold them tight and never let them go. Then I too realize that they will all fly the nest and I must take the time to enjoy each moment God gives us together.

Wishing all of you moments together with the ones you love...

Amen! and what lovely girls! I have one of my own. She failed her drivers permit test again this week. She is an A student and was just crushed and in tears. After I had hugged her I told her I was secretly glad she had not got her permit yet because I am not ready to let her go yet. She thought it was sweet and it made her smile. She actually turns 17 this year and will be a late driver and that is OK with me! My new motto is huggem while you gottem!!

What beautiful girls...Time does go by so quick...I wish we could keep them little forever...I've been feeling the blues about how quick my son is growing..It brings tears to my eyes...I can't even imagine what it will be like not having him around everyday...I don't want an empty nest(hehe)...
