Clearly in Love Album

February 2, 2009

I have been working on a clear album for Valentine's Day. Being the first time that I had actually worked on one of these, it was a little bit of trial and error, but it was so much fun to design something dimensional and see through other pages for glimpses of the upcoming page.

The best glue for this album was Zip Dry Paper Glue. Being a Tombow girl, myself, this was a whole new world of glues. When working with a clear album and this glue, rub in the glue with you fingers and then you won't be able to see the glue through the back (a little bit of trial and error!).

I also used my new QuicKutz Silhouette to cut the swirls and scalloped frame on the front of the album. I can't wait to continue to learn all of the wonderful features it does have! I also used the StazOn Opaque Cotton White ink on the acrylic album. It was great to work with and almost an instant dry. Just love the look it gave when I applied the ink around the edges. I think it would look great to design another clear album with a winter wonderland theme and stamp white snowflakes all over. I also combine my love of vintage images, glitter and tulle to complete. I can't wait to get pictures in here of my DH and my kids.

I'm "clearly loving" that album! If you're taking orders, please put me down for one:)

That clear album is great.
Looks like it would be a LOT of work and thinking ahead.

Have a mellow Monday.

Came upon your place here and wanted to say Hi. Your album is just beautiful! I have never done scrapbooking but I am sure inspired by all the amazing things I have seen on blogs I have visited.

I have begun an art journal that I am having fun with. It's a start.

Kindly, ldh

Sheila, this is absolutely gorgeous! I am not a scrapbooker, so I don't know how I could ever create such beauty! You are very talented!

I'm still enjoying your altered spoon that I won from you! Hurray!
