Secret Swap Goodies

May 5, 2008

Yesterday I got together with the Circle of Friends, women that have come together through scrapbooking. Each of us coming from different backgrounds, and places in our lives. With my busy, sometimes hectic life, I don’t get to see everyone as much as I would like but they never make me feel like I am not a part of that circle. It was a wonderful time filled with a lot of laughter, tears and catching up with everyone’s lives. We exchanged secret pal swap items yesterday. Three months ago each person drew a name to give small goodies for the 3 months and then we got together to exchange our big gift yesterday. It is a wonderful way of getting to know each of these wonderful ladies. My secret swap pal received a basket full of goodies, from luscious scrapbook papers, ribbons, charms, buttons wrapped up in vintage linen, tags, a stamped bookmark and other goodies topped off with a vintage hankie flower that I made. Unfortunately, I was without my camera so couldn't take a picture of my creations. But then it was my turn to receive my package. Oh, it was heaven! Oh, so many vintage goodies in one basket….
See even made me a beautiful bird house… And the best part which brought tears to my eyes was this beautiful bracelet that she made… You don’t see the luscious chocolate goodies she included because those have already been savored each one of them. I ate a few of them on the way home and then I shared them with my family. Thank you, Christina, for such lovely gifts from the heart. I treasure each one and can’t wait to create some beautiful projects with all my goodies!
